Account & Data Deletion

In Summary
Yes — you can delete the account you created with TrueLinks, and the data associated with it, at any time. You can do this directly inside the app or by email. After a short verification period, your personal profile and content are permanently and irreversibly erased.
Delete In the App
Open TrueLinks and sign in to the account you want to delete. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account, type DELETE to confirm, and confirm the final prompt. Once confirmed, deletion is queued and cannot be undone. This in-app path satisfies the Apple App Store and Google Play requirement for in-app account deletion.
Delete By Email
If you can’t access the app, email us from your registered address at contact@truelinks.ai with the subject “Account deletion request”. We verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
Your account and profile (name, email, login) are deleted immediately on confirmation. Your projects, reports, and AI chat history, along with uploaded documents, photos, and their embeddings, are permanently deleted within 30 days. Encrypted backups are purged on the next backup rotation, within 90 days.
What We May Retain
After deletion we keep only the minimum the law requires — typically billing and invoice records needed for tax and accounting compliance, and limited security or audit logs. Retained records are access-controlled and are not used to re-identify or contact you. Anonymised or aggregated data that can no longer identify you may be retained to improve the service.
Enterprise and Team Accounts
If you belong to an enterprise organisation, content you created may be owned by that organisation and retained under its workspace after your personal account is deleted. Your personal profile and access are always removed. Contact your organisation administrator, or us, for organisation-level deletion.
